Helping Hands of Yuma (Formerly Greater Foothills Helping Hands), was founded by Lucille Arnold-Harris in 1996 when she recognized the need to provide support to the seniors in the community in order for them to remain living independently. In 1998 we received our 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable status. Helping Hands has continued to grow year by year in order to meet the needs of our under-served senior community. On average, Helping Hands serves over 650 seniors annually with our dedicated volunteers providing over 20,000 service hours, driving over 76,000 miles, and providing over 6,000 individual services.
